Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has moisturising, repairing, nourishing and soothing properties. It is made from the pulp of coconuts. It is suitable for all skin types, including dry and delicate skin.
Coconut oil forms the vegetable base of our liquid soaps and is also found in the wax of our perfumed candles at La Savonnerie Royale.
Mango Butter
Mango butter is an exceptional natural and plant-based ingredient. It forms an excellent plant-based wax, which we use in our La Savonnerie Royale perfumed candles! Mango butter is obtained from the kernel contained within the mango pit, which is pressed to extract the butter.
Shea Butter
Shea butter comes from trees belonging to the Sapotaceae family, which grow wild without treatment. They have a very long lifespan and begin producing fruit from around their fifteenth year. Fresh, ripe fruits are collected by Burkinabè women as they fall from the trees, between mid-June and mid-September. The nuts are separated from their pulp, washed, boiled and dried in the sun. The kernel containing the fat used to produce the butter is then removed. The kernels are crushed with a pestle, roasted and taken to a mill to be ground into a brownish paste. The paste is then kneaded and churned with water to produce the familiar whitish paste.
Shea butter is renowned for nourishing the skin and forming a protective film that helps prevent dehydration. It is particularly suitable for dry and damaged skin and helps protect the skin from cold weather and harsh conditions.
